Do you notice a big new something in my hand? A new camera! And not just any camera..She’s a Nikon D300. WoW!
Whenever I get money for a holiday I put it away. Whenever I clean my husbands office, I put it away. Whenever I sell anything I put it away. I have been saving for awhile, years actually, so I had a good bit of stash. She is AMAZING! Look at what she can do…
And even this with NO FLASH or tripod….(Wasn’t happening with my XTi)
I haven’t had much time to get to know her but I have been admiring her from afar. I had her picture taped up on my kitchen cupboard for a while. And it was love at first sight. As I said in my previous post (Where there is a chance to win a party favor!) I am obsessed with taking pictures and photography in general lately. Lucky for me, my husband believes in me and supports my creative endeavors or else I would have been short a little bit of dough. Thanks honey!! Now on to the unplugged project.
We cut a piece of contact paper, pulled the backing off and taped it down to the table. OUTSIDE for those that are mess-phobic! Now let them shake the glitter all over the contact paper.
Cut a second piece of contact paper the same size or a bit bigger to stick over the top.

Hey! I think I gave you that contact paper. I remember thinking “what is she ever going to do with that?” I thought that later when I was feeling guilty for passing so much stuft on to you. If it was that roll glad to see it being used. I think you should make some neat little cards out of it and send them to your neighbor from your dogs…
LAURA—-You crack me up!! You did give me that contact paper!! Along with lots of other goodies.
Those are lovely! Yet another “sticky” clear contact paper project. I really have to get some now. (Have never used it)
Congrats on the new camera. I am so jealous! That night shot is amazing!
Ooh I love your new camera!
Random, but I ’stumbled’ on your blog and I love it!
Just wanted to say hi! =]

Wow, congrats on that mighty fine camera. Love the project idea too. Speaking of which, I posted a blog featuring your tutorial on my blog and in my myspace blog. Big hit girl!
Thanks again,
Salute.
Teehee, I’m naughty… I thought of something else you could put between contact paper and give to your nasty neighbor from your dogs that wasn’t so glittery….
I digress, I wanted to say, great sticky project and I’m so jealous of your new camera!
OMG. D300. *swoon*
That is a big mother camera! Love it! Love the pics of you in the mirrors, too. So if I had Pennie show up at some park event or at your house or something, would you try to get some candids with Madison for her? Your camera kicks my camera’s ass plus you’re a better picture taker even withOUT a great camera!!
Fancy camera! Swoon is right! Love that sticky project. we’ve done glitter with glue and glitter glue but this seems more doable. I also like the idea of cutting them down for cards and am thinking we might make up some father’s day cards tonight!! I’ve been wanting to do one of the unplugged projects for a while but I’m not that organized to get the theme figured out and completed within the week.
OK, could I possibly comment/email you more in one day?! Geez.
DAWN—Anytime-I would love to take photos of them-it would be a nice change from my own kids!
ANNA—could you leave one more comment to answer my question I left on your blog? Maybe you left it on your blog-but where do you find all of your phot challenges? Flickr?

I really need to start saving my money. I would love to upgrade to one of those cameras from my Cannon Powershot.
