I teach at a high school in TN and am planning an activity using conrnstarch. Found your site while exploring. We are planning to make a 2x4 frame and line it with plastic, dump in cornstarch and water, let kids pay to play - walking thru it - it is a celebration day called MOBUCK DAY - MOBUCK is a program that promotes good behavior - teachers give out mobucks to students that do what they are supposed to do but don't get recognized (the "bad" kids get all the attention)these bucks are used on celebration day for paying for food, items, and activities. The program works. Thanks for your site - it was a nice visit. To those who have problems with mess - the messy times are the ones that are fondly remembered by everyone. My three nieces stayed two weeks with me while their mom had her fourth, they had runny noses, it snowed and I couldn't let them out. I brought the snow in - a big tub full - they have children of their own now and still talk about it. Definetly worth the mess. A simple mop job afterward - but the memories!

Hey - you just identified the mysterious berry tree in our backyard. Our dogs have been scarfing up the berries on the ground but I wasn't sure if we could eat them or not. Thanks!

Messy is good. Of course, I have to constantly remind myself of this. This looks like great fun and I want to try it. I'll have to look for a good cornstarch source.

Lol, love the last pic!
I hate the feel of cornstarch (we call it cornflour) and water mixed, it gives me the chills, lol.
I hear you on the messy stuff, it's getting hard for us to get outside as much, so our creativity is feeling a little...constrained.
