Spider Webs

Today we wrapped yarn and string around and around several trees in our back yard.

Each kid started at the beginning of their string and had to follow their own string around trees, under others strings and still over top of others.

Hanging on the end of each string was a small candy bar. Ooops, I forgot to take a picture of  that!

Thanks so much for all the nice comments. I know everyones been there at one time or another. Today was much better. Clearing my head really helped.

That looks like fun! How long did it take to do, but more so, how long did it take to un-do?

Andy-actually not much time to wrap up the trees but I foolishly thought I was going to roll all the yarn back up and save it. Ha, we ended up cutting it in many pieces to clean it up! Now the kids are kicking a yarn wig around the house!

This is great! I love activities that get kids out of the house and feeling a bit competitive. I can imagine the giggling!

I found your link from Crafty Crow, and I really like your blog. Thanks for all your fun stuff!

What a cool activity. I think I have seen mention of a similar activity in a book about a Victorian Christmas. The children found the web on Christmas morning and followed the string to the end to find their gifts. Thanks for reminding me of this.
