The label "Pro-Life" is unnecessarily polarizing as it implies that anyone who acknowledges the existence of a choice in reproductive matters is "ANTI"-life. Ultimately, reproductive freedom is about choices. The question is, who will be empowered with the ability to make that choice. Are we going to entrust the women whose lives are directly involved with the ability to make their own choices? Or will we remove any choice from their hands and give that right to (let's face it) a bunch of old white men who have no clue about the larger impact of pregnancy and childbirth on the lives of a woman and her family? I really believe that in a civil conversation, it is usually possible to find that common middle ground. My daughter is so excited about the campaign and our regular visits to the Obama offices. It's important for our kids to see us actually involved in the things that we believe in.
