Sigh
I, like so many others, are breathing a sigh today. Barack Obama will be our next President. I feel a renewed hope in our countries future. I am so proud to see a black man take office. I am so glad to have been a tiny part of it. It makes me happy that my kids were involved and can feel that we all count. Really the tears could come again at any moment!
I didn’t have my camera with me at our Election Party last night-complete with hot dogs, apple pies and red white and blue cookies and chips! But it was good to be with friends watching the numbers come in, while the kids tallied the electoral votes on a map. We volunteered together, rallied together, fretted together and last night cried tears of joy together. I imagine it was the same in so many other places. This is history in the making..today I am so happy to be witness to that history!
We were up really late and I am really tired and have a busy few days ahead..another sigh..life goes on!
