Holiday Crafting
The holiday crafting has begun around here. The last few years our Thursday Potluck has been getting together to work on Holiday Crafts together. So yesterday we packed up lots of food and supplies and got busy making some gifts. One of the things we made were some heavy duty cool magnets, packaged in pretty little boxes!
These cute, little, easy to make magnets are selling like hotcakes in stores and on the internet. But why buy them when you can custom make your own for pennies!!
I bought the flat bottomed glass marbles at The Dollar Store, heavy duty magnets, clear quick drying epoxy and old magazines and or photos.
The girls flipped through some old magazines and used the marbles to trace around the pictures they wanted to use. Then they cut them out-they can be trimmed after glueing too!
Then we used a small amount of the epoxy to glue the pictures to the bottom of the marbles. And set them aside to dry.
Later we glued heavy duty magnets to the bottoms with a bit of epoxy.
But that’s not all!! We pimped up some old Altoid boxes to gift them in!
We traced the lid on the back side of some felt and cut it out.
We glued the felt on to the lids and the bottoms (optional) and then gave them a little bling with some sparkly jewels from the dollar store.
This was a cheap craft-Love that kind! And love the results too!
And 2 more things I love:
1. The C Note Art Show this weekend. Come buy my stuff-or just come and hang out!
2. FREE STUFF

Which chain of dollar store sells the flat-backed marbles? (maybe I could try michaels)
Awesome craft! Fridge-door bling!
I got the marbles from The Dollar Store on Bethal Rd. There is some ribbon yarn there too that Annaya might like!
