Broken humerus snowboarding with friends today.
Lucky he had a helmet on!
Bad timing!
We are leaving for an Unschoolers Conference at a water park for a few days, we have a quick ski trip planned, he has several circus performances coming up, helping out with a music video in the girls breakdancing class, and he and Joe were going to Jackson Hole for snowboarding and snowmobiling. (which may still be possible if he heals in a timely manner).
Ginger is sick and I spent most of the day at the hospital with Jake, so packing and shopping for our trip is not happening. So, I will be cramming in what I can tomorrow and then off for a few days of R&R. I’ll be back next week, hopefully with better news. Or at least I’ll be well rested.

That is a heartbreaking picture!!! Poor Jake! How long will he be in the sling? And if you need help getting stuff together for the trip LET ME KNOW!!!
sorry love!!!!! xoxo
Poor kid. I’m heading out to Weiland’s to get the rest of what I need for the trip, so I’ll be out and about. Just call me if you want me to pick something up.
I hope he is feeling better soon. THat must really hurt.
Oh yuck! How awful!
Have a great time regardless!
Arrgghhh….poor boy. what a shame.
Dear Marek Family
Thank you for sharing this tough time on your blog. Jake is young and strong and should heal better than us old people. Ok, eat lots of protein…. Anyone have ideas on healing properties and what foods you can find them in? My grandma had remedies for colds and such, this is quite bigger! We wish Jake all the best healing, and wish your family strength!

To the Gods of Snow
Snow gods, who art in the mountains
Hallowed be thy Name.
Thy snow has come.
Thy will be done,
On the foothills as on mountains peaks.
Give us this day our board and wax.
And forgive us for our crashes, ^.^
As we forgive those who crash down hill from us. -,-’
And lead us not into warm weather,
But deliver us from heat.
For thine is the mountain,
and the powder, and the glory,
for ever and ever.
Ride on!
