Sierra---Yes it is runny--but the gel does help a little bit with that. The aloe is also soothing--because yes, the alcohol is drying but that helps with the air drying time on your hands too. Vinegar is antifungal and germ fighting. I think water and GSE would be better than nothing! Good luck and thank you for leaving a comment! I appreciate it.

Hello!

I was curious what was the point of the aloe gel and the witch hazel in this recipe. The witch hazel has alcohol in it which is drying, unless i use the thayer face stuff - and that has a lot of its own ingredients. I could look around for better aloe gel, but the easy to find stuff has a lot of unwanted ingredients/preservatives as well.

I noticed in the comments that it is pretty "runny" stuff so I am assuming the gel doesn't manage to thicken it much which was my original thought. Do you think water with EO and GSE would be effective enough (similar to your cleaning spray found elsewhere)? On that thought was does the vinegar do?

Thanks

Hi,
Thanks for the wonderful recipe! Is there a substitute for lavender oil, we are chemically sensitive to that.

Amy---No, it's a little runny! You have to be careful poring it out. But it does make your hands soft!! Thanks for commenting.

I just made some of this up. Mine is really runny, did I do something wrong or is that how it's suppose to be? My hands feel great, not dry like the store brand. Thanks for sharing!
