Here are a few shots from Abraham Lincoln Bicentennial Plaza…From my iphone…I forgot my camera (blushing)!
Sunday evening we attended the premiere of LINCOLN “Upon The alter of Freedom.” Termed, “A theatrical experience,” we ate an Amish family style meal, catered by Black Buggy Restaurant, listened to some good music,
and looked around a mini museum and chatted with the artisans demonstrating period crafts.
The play, honoring the bicentenial of Lincoln’s birth, was excellent. It showed Lincoln’s life as a boy in Spencer County, Indiana to his death. The new covered ampitheater was such an enjoyable place to watch the show.
(Again from my iphone-but not too bad I must say for a phone photo!!)
A little applause for Geoffrey Wade, who played President Lincoln. He was so great!
Tickets and info available at www.LincolnAmpitheater.com
Again-another great and easy way to learn about history!! If you asked my kids they would also tell you that they enjoyed the free pop and popcorn at intermission!
From the theater we snuggled in to our rental RV at Lake Rudolph. What a great idea to rent an RV. Not everyone has camping equipment or wants to lug it all out for 1 or 2 nights. There are also cabins, full hook up RV sites, as well as tent sites available.
Lake Rudolph is a very clean, shaded, family friendly campground jam packed with amenities.
Free Wi-Fi, “green” golf carts, kayak and paddle boat rentals, ice-cream shop, pizza delivery, free miniature golf, fishing and planned activities are just a few of the perks of staying at Lake Rudolph. Another benefit of staying at the friendly Lake Rudolph is the proximity (next door) , dicounted tickets and free shuttle to Holiday World.
Don’t worry…we went there too!! So stay tuned!

Looks like a great time! So many memories for your kids and their friends, it’s fantastic. It’s good to be busy having a wonderful childhood
