Once Santa Claus Land now Holiday World/ Splashin’ Safari.

All the things we loved about  Holiday World : (in no particular order!)

1. The rides– three huge, fast,  award winning wooden roller coasters!! Swings, bumper cars, merry go round, the original train ride from Santa Claus land…there were rides for all ages!

There is even a new ride called Pilgrims Plunge (the worlds tallest water ride).

2. Splashin’ Safari-the water park that is part of Holiday World.  Either side is fun-but to have both in a day was great! You could easily spend more than one day at Holiday World but you certainly don’t have to. The smaller size of the park  definitely makes it doable in a day. We didn’t feel overwhelmed and rushed to run from one side of the park to the other trying to fit everything in. Which is remarkable since we had kids ranging from 5 to 14 years old. Everyone was happy and satisfied!! Although I think my 5 year old could have spent another week in Spashin’ Safari!

3. FREE pop-all day, all the time, all FREE……and no lines! There are pop stops all over the park. These have water available too.

4. Free sunscreen. Again-all free, all the time and no lines. Really, all this free stuff!

5. Holiday World and Splashin’ Safari were really clean!!

6. Everyone that worked at the park was very friendly and helpful.  These are two reasons why Holiday World has won so many awards over the years. It is a very well maintained and run theme park!!

7. I liked the extra attractions : the glass blowing was neat to watch.

There was also a mini Lincoln museum and a great, world toy collection in the glass blowing building.

8. What is Santa Claus Land without a Santa? Don’t worry, not only is there a Santa but he is THE BEST lookin’ Santa I have ever seen!!

I peeked around the corner and I got chills. I think he’s the real thing!!

So maybe if you’re good someone will take you to Holiday World too!!!

That night we stayed at The Levenworth Inn, a really beautiful Bed and Breakfast.
