Some Housekeeping

My kids take their dressing up rather seriously!

We have a big box filled with great thrift store finds! And occasionally if some fancy outfit  has dinner down the front of it or it is splashed with mud puddle water or it was slept in….it might get thrown in the dirty laundry to be washed and returned to the “dress up box.” But it has been a long while since the whole lot of them have been washed.

So we filled up the baby pool with some water and added lots of baking soda and some citrus castille soap. And dumped the dress ups in for a good cleaning!

The girls stomped the dirt right out of them!! They reminded me of “Lucy” stomping the grapes!

I did throw them in my washers spin cycle and then on to the line to dry.

MMMMMMmmmmmmm they smell so much better!!

  1. what a great way to wash the dress up clothes, I would have never thought of that. Unfortunately, we’ve moved past dress-up clothes. Well I guess not completely Beth wants to be a fashion designer so she does create some interesting dress up outfits. Plus there’s the dressing up she’s been doing that we hope some day she’ll get paid for. :)

  2. That’s the prettiest laundry line I’ve ever seen!

  3. Who are all of those little kids? I don’t believe we have any little kids anymore. Holy cow. Wasn’t that just last year?

  4. Hi! I was surfing and found your blog post… nice! I love your blog. :) Cheers! Sandra. R.
