Win a Bounce Dryer Bar & a $50 Visa Gift Card!

I love to hang my clothes outside to dry, but here in Central Ohio, that amounts to a couple short months of warm enough temperatures and sunshine to get that job done. That means the other eight and a half months I use my dryer. Which to me means lots of static electricity. My kids hate finding their socks pasted to the quilt Aunt Rosie crocheted a few years back!

So when I was asked to try out the new Bounce Dryer Bar, I quickly agreed. I don’t usually use dryer sheets for a couple of reasons. I forget to use them and I find those sheets stuck to the quilts just as often as I find the socks. I don’t particularly like the perfumey scent of most dryer sheets either! After receiving my Bounce Dryer Bar in the mail, I anxiously unwrapped it and headed to my dryer. It easily stuck to the side of the drum in my dryer and within seconds I was armed with a Bounce Dryer Bar that promised me fresh, soft, static controlled clothes.

Sure enough, my clothes were super soft and the static was under control. I chose the unscented Bounce Dryer Bar and was pleasantly surprised at the lack of the overwhelming scent of typical dryer sheets. My entire load smelled clean without a perfume scent.Which is just the way I like it! I absolutely love the convenience of the Bounce Dryer Bar. No more having to remember to throw a sheet in with each load. With no static electricity, I managed to fold an entire load with no lonely, unmatched socks left over. Now that’s a bonus!

Yet, the real bonus for my dog-loving family is that once our clothes went through a load with the Bounce Dryer Bar, it definitely lived up to its hair repellency claim! Normally we are a static magnet for our pets’ hair but not so after using the Bounce Dryer Bar! I love the convenience of the bar! Months of soft, static controlled clothes and bedding! And so simple too! Just stick it and forget it! Visit Bounce’s Facebook page for more information on the Bounce Dryer Bar!

I dry clothes in the dryer. I guess if my dryer ever went kaput, I might have to dry clothes outside. We live in a subdivision and I’m pretty sure there are rules about hanging clothes outside, though.

I like drying clothes outside when it’s warm, I do not like drying towels outside anytime, too crisp

I always dry clothes in the dryer — lazy, force of habit, whatever — but that’s what I do.

  21. I really need something that will help keep the pet hair off my clothes in the morning.

  22. I got a Bounce dryer bar …. I am amazed! I love it!

  23. This I HAVE to try. My elderly dog is shedding buckets of hair. I was just stressing out because everything in my house is covered in dog fur.

I do dry clothes outside sometimes, but there are 2 things – my clothesline is the world’s biggest spider jungle gym AND I live close to a highway, so there is a lot of dust in the air. If I want to dry outside, I generally have to wipe down every line with a damp cloth first…and some days, I just can’t face the spiders.

  24. I, unfortunately, live in a community that doesn’t allow it’s residents to hang their clothes outside…so I use my dryer ALL THE TIME.

  25. nanjhall Dec 6th 2011

I dry clothes outside almost year round. It is cheaper and your clothes last longer.

  26. i don’t dry outside cause i don’t have a clothesline, wish i had one

  27. I don’t dry clothes outside when it’s warm … no clothesline or place to hang them. Funny how things have changed!

  28. sue v Dec 6th 2011

I dry my clothes outside.. all the time as long as it is not raining

  29. Nancy B from Many LA Dec 6th 2011

I would love to dry outside; don’t have a clothesline up yet…

  30. No I do not but I truly want to. The only reason I don’t is because I just haven’t purchased a line and put it up, but I plan to do it next year! It is one of the few green things that I don’t already do!

  31. Sarah L Dec 6th 2011

    No room to dry outside.
    Thanks for the contest.

  35. I do dry clothes outside when it’s warm. It saves money, it’s green.

  36. Eugenie Dec 6th 2011

I sometimes dry clothes outside. I’d do it more often to save money but it takes more time and effort to hang them up and take down, collect clothes pins etc.

  37. Jessie C. Dec 7th 2011

We use drying racks all year round, took them outside in the back yard when sun comes out.
