The site grew out of a shared frustration with instructions that looked tidy in photos but fell apart in practice.
Everything published here starts as something one of us tried at home first, often more than once and with different ages of kids involved, before we write it up as a guide. When we recommend specific supplies, paints, or kitchen tools, it’s because we’ve used them ourselves and think they hold up to real use, not because they were the first result in a search.
